Hello, good evening! This is Os Cariocas debut LP, released by Columbia in 1957 and one of the first albums made available in the very first beginning of Loronix. It is a very important Brazilian popular music album, released one year after the premature death of Os Cariocas founder and main leader, Ismael Neto, brother of Severino Filho, leader of the group since then. Ismael Neto passing is the reason of this beautiful and moving cover, featuring Hortensia, sister of Ismael Neto and Severino Filho. Os Cariocas a Ismael Neto is another great Jorge Mello contribution, whom I thank for the opportunity to bring back Os Cariocas to the first page with a major update on music and cover scans.
