Nana Caymmi is Dorival Caymmi famous daughter, an established singer and surely one of the greatest Brazilian Diva. Nana is easily recognized by her deep voice and is also a composer, recorded by Milton Nascimento and other Brazilian giants.
This album is the first ever in her career, Nana Caymmi - Serie Estreia (1965). The early and young Nana shows here everything she could deliver on her remaining albums. Arranged with passion by Oscar Castro Neves, which took care of never pushing Nana too much, and letting her vocal expressions open like she was singing for her great father and family. Titles include songs of Dorival Caymmi, Tom Jobim, Paulo Sergio Valle, Eumir Deodato, among others.
It is a mandatory album for any collector. After this debut, Nana entered into an artistic hiatus to be dedicated to her marriage, delivering a new album only ten years later.

Elis Regina & Toots Thielemans - Aquarela do Brasil (1969)
A few posts ago, we were introduced to Roberto Menescal - O Conjunto de Roberto Menescal, assembled by Elis Regina for her 1969 European tour. Elis Regina was outstanding even beyond her vocals, she also knew very well how to choose her musicians and arrangers.
This album - Aquarela do Brasil, Toots Thielemans & Elis Regina (1969) was recorded in Sweden during this tour. This record is as good as the last Elis & Tom, maybe better.
