Antonio Guimaraes e Seu Conjunto - O Fabuloso Guimaraes (1963)

This obscure LP from the early 60's is known as to be one of the first recording of the rhythm legend Airto Moreira, credited here as Airto Guimorvã for reasons that zecalouro could not check.

Antonio Guimaraes was a very active nightclub musician in the late 50's and 60's. This LP, Antonio Guimaraes e Seu Conjunto - O Fabuloso Guimaraes (1963) has this nightclub atmosphere, with instrumental music for dancing, sounding sometimes like a Waldir Calmon recording. Antonio Guimaraes e Seu Conjunto is Antonio Guimarães (piano), Walter Santos (sax, piston), Jose Maria (accordion), Zezinho (bass), Airto Guimorvã (drums) and Jose Rangel - Maninho (percussion). Tracks include:

01 - Mattinata (Leoncavallo)
02 - Hollywood for strings (David Rose)
03 - Lenda do beijo (R.Souto - J. Vert)
04 - Dança das horas (Poncielle)
05 - Viúva alegre (F.Lehar)
06 - Malagueña (Ernesto Lecuona)
