Let's move to the top of the row some obscure instrumental LPs from the 60's. Starting with Formula 7, probably well known by many Loronix specialists, but completely obscure to zecalouro.
Formula 7 - Som Psicodelico, Volume 1 (1968), a groovy instrumental LP, full of brass and a nice rhythm section. Tracks include a mix of Brazilian songs with some American standards and a nice version of Batman TV show theme, as follow:
01 - Watermelon Man
02 - Pata Pata
03 - Ponteio
04 - Call me
05 - Bond Street
06 - Simplesmente
07 - Suck'um Up
08 - You Only Live Twice
09 - Alegria, Alegria
10 - Rossana
11 - I'm a Believer
12 - Batman
I hope someone has more to add to this LP.
So nice this one. The Parlophone logo for the series with the giant "P" on every cover is so cool too. Post the other two volumes for your listeners. So they can see those groovy covers.
ReplyDelete"Watermelon Man" & "Ponteio" alone, make this LP worth owning.
ReplyDeleteExtremamente raro, Batmam virou Samba Rock, e ainda pegaram o pata pata do Osibisa ou seria da Miriam Makeba...
