Being a fan of "Dick e Claudette" I was surprised to hear this "real" jazz concert and how excellent a pianist Farney is. Interesting how the alto sax player sounds so much like Paul Desmond and even Farney gets in the Brubeck mode when you hear the alto play. Jazz fans should not hesitate to take this concert and will be as surprised as "the jazzman" was.
ReplyDeleteJazzman,
ReplyDeleteNice that you reach this Dick Farney. In my humble opinion, Farney is primarily a superb jazz pianist. Unfortunately, he had the bad luck of being a awesome singer, getting recognized as a singer instead of pianist.
This is the wild side of Dick Farney and surprisingly, several Loronixers did not know this side.
Cheers, zeca
Outra gema loroxiana. Valeu, Zeca !
