zecalouro is filling some gaps in response of friends request of artists that are important for Brazilian music but never had the spotlight at Loronix. The series was started with the last Lucio Alves release, now it is time present a really important singer and composer Sergio Ricardo with Sergio Ricardo - A Grande Musica de Sergio Ricardo (1967).
Sergio Ricardo is an artist of social concerns, involved since the early age with politics, being one of those interpreters of what is recognized in Brazil as Musica de Protesto. Sergio Ricardo had also many participations of Brazilian festivals making history when he broke his acoustic guitar when eliminated, YouTubed on this post.
Sergio Ricardo has several collaborations with the Brazilian film maker Glauber Rocha, being responsible for the sound track of the legendary film Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol. You can read a full Sergio Ricardo bio at AMG, here. Tracks include:
01 - A Praça É do Povo (Sergio Ricardo / Glauber Rocha)
02 - Cantochão (Sergio Ricardo)
03 - Princesa Isabel (Sergio Ricardo)
04 - Fantasia da Alegria (Sergio Ricardo)

As Vedetes - As Vedetes (1964)
We have another Nilser release, subsidiary of Nilo Sergio's Musidisc. It is easy to recognize a Nilser LP, the cover is always on a light brown color, with a very thin cross pattern. The typeface used is always the same, based on serif with strong brow color. However, what amazes me most at Nilser releases is the lack of information available, always minimum.
The last Nilser release was truly amazing, The Bossa Nova Modern Quartet - Bossa Nova Jazz Samba (1963). After a month or two, several issues remain with no answer.
At our own risk, let’s give Nilser another try with As Vedetes - As Vedetes (1964), a female vocal group, some kind of Quarteto em Cy wannabee. It is not necessary to say further information about As Vedetes and this release is really appreciated. Tracks include:
01 - Times Square (João Roberto Kelly / Meira Guimarães)
02 - Amanhecendo (Roberto Menescal / Luis Fernando Freire)
03 - A Rosa (Ed Lincoln / Nilo Sergio)
04 - Consolação (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
05 - Vai Menina (Nilo Sergio)
06 - Berimbau (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
07 - Manhã no Posto 6 (Armando Cavalcanti)
08 - Samba de Branco (João Roberto Kelly / J. Rui)
09 - Tudo de Você (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle)
10 - Lágrima Flor (Billy Blanco)
11 - Seu José (Silvio César)
12 - Telefone (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)

Elis Regina - Elis no Teatro da Praia com Miele & Boscoli (1970)
I'm sure that you will enjoy another anthological Bossa Nova show, Elis Regina - Elis no Teatro Da Praia Com Miele & Bôscoli (1970), recorded live at Teatro da Praia, Rio de Janeiro for Philips. The repertoire has several well-known Brazilian songs with some orientation to the upcoming 70's decade instead of Bossa Nova classics from the 60's, including Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Jorge Ben, among others.
Elis Regina shares the spotlight with Miele and Ronaldo Boscoli, backed by Roberto Menescal, Jurandir, Ze Roberto Bertrami, Wilson das Neves and Hermes. Luiz Carlos Miele, for those who do not know, is an important artist for Bossa Nova, maybe one day we make his debut at Loronix. Tracks include:
01 - Pout-Pourri: Casa Forte (Edu Lobo) -- Reza (Edu Lobo / Ruy Guerra) -- Noite dos Mascarados (Chico Buarque) -- Samba da Bênção (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes) -- Makin' Whoopee (W. Donaldson / G. Kahn)
02 - Zazueira (Jorge Ben "Jorge Benjor")
03 - Minha (Francis Hime / Ruy Guerra)
04 - Irene (Caetano Veloso)
05 - Musical de Gala: Eu e a Brisa (Johnny Alf) -- Preciso Aprender a Ser Só (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle) -- Carolina (Chico Buarque) -- Nunca Mais (Dorival Caymmi) -- Franqueza (Denis Brean / Osvaldo Guilherme) -- Se Todos Fossem Iguais a Você (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
06 - Aquele Abraço (Gilberto Gil)
07 - Can't Take My Eyes Of You (B. Crewe / B. Gaudio)
08 - Se Você Pensa (Roberto Carlos / Erasmo Carlos)

Meirelles e Sua Orquestra - Brazilian Explosion (1974)
Let's start this Saturday with a Red album sent by Arara Azul (Blue Macaw), Meirelles e Sua Orquestra - Brazilian Explosion (1974), for Odeon. Brazilian Explosion is one of a series of orchestra LPs released by Meirelles. There are some experiments with synthesizers and a J.T. Meirelles version of Richard Strauss Also Sprach Zarathustra, theme of the legendary movie 2001, a Space Odyssey.
It's amazing that in 1974 a sci-fi movie predicting the year 2001 is being released again in 2006. We are really getting older. Thanks Arara Azul for this Meirelles LP, the flute player on Sylvia Telles and Rosinha de Valenca video. Tracks include:
01 - Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001 Uma Odisséia no Espaço) (Richard Strauss / version J. T. Meirelles)
02 - Aquarela do Brasil (Ary Barroso)
03 - Tristeza Pé no Chão (Armando Fernandes "Mamão")
04 - Kriola (Hélio Matheus)
05 - Regra Três (Toquinho / Vinicius de Moraes)
06 - Na Baixa do Sapateiro (Ary Barroso)
07 - Nuvens Douradas (Tom Jobim)

Conjunto 3-D - Tema 3-D (1964)
The last Festival da Balanca release was nice and useful to remember an important instrumental combom from the 60's that did not have a single release at Loronix, Conjunto 3D, also known as Trio 3D. Conjunto 3-D - Tema 3-D (1964), for RCA is the debut LP, followed by Trio 3-D Convida and Muito na Onda, the last one with Eduardo Conde and Beth Carvalho on vocals.
Antonio Adolfo (piano) is Conjunto 3D leader, listed on set of all three releases. Tema 3-D, has Antonio Adolfo (piano and arrangements), Cacho (bass and vocals on tracks 04 and 10), Nelson (drums). Adittionaly Tema 3-D has Arisio (acoustic guitar), Claudio (piston on tracks 02, 04 and 09), Dom Um Romao (drums on tracks 01, 09, 10, 11 and 12). A perfect cover and always welcomed Bossa Jazz classic for a great day closing. Tracks include:
01 - Consolação (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
02 - Clouds (Durval Ferreira / Maurício Einhorn)
03 - Céu e Mar (Johnny Alf)

Lana Bittencourt - Intimamente (1958)
This is a really hard to find Lana Bittencourt LP, Lana Bittencourt - Intimamente (1958), for Columbia, probably her debut LP. I'm happy to make this post, since Lana was "revealed" at Loronix with the album MusicalScope and since then, several friends came to my mailbox saying that Lana was forgotten on their memories and Loronix provided a revival of Lana on their minds.
Very strong statement, but with Lana Bittencourt there are extremes, several loyal fans and those ones that did not take a time already for her singing. No matter what is your position, take a time to hear this LP, a very early Lana Bittencourt work that worth a try. Tracks include:
01 - Se Todos Fossem Iguais a Você
02 - Esquecimento
03 - Porque É
04 - Quem Se Humilha
05 - Desistência
06 - Quero Ir à Bahia
07 - A Vontade de Morrer Voltou Toda
08 - Ave Maria
09 - Haja o Que Houver
10 - Rua da Minha Cidade
11 - Prece
12 - Tô Só

Varios Artistas - 4o Festival da Balanca (1966)
I'm not exactly a fan of the several LPs released with live recording of the Brazilian Festivals from the 60's, but this one is really different. This is 4o Festival da Balança - Various Artists (1966) for RCA, considered by its organizations as the greatest University show of all times.
4o Festival da Balanca was recorded live in October 1965 in Sao Paulo at Esporte Clube Pinheiros, organized by Faculdade de Direito Mackenzie. The festival has organized by a group of students lead by Manoel Poladian, also student that became a renowned producer at the 80's. The selection made by RCA brings nine tracks with Jongo Trio, Maricenne Costa, Pedrinho Mattar Trio, Maria Bethania, Marisa Gata Mansa, Trio 3D, Coral da Universidade Mackenzie, Os Farroupilhas and Gilberto Gil. An estimate of 4,000 people was on the gig. Who were there? I wish I could... Tracks include:
01 - Jongo Trio - Pot-pourri: Dorival Caymmi with João Valentão (Dorival Caymmi) -- O Mar (Dorival Caymmi) -- Canção da Partida (Dorival Caymmi) -- História de Pescadores (Dorival Caymmi) -- Pescaria (Canoeiro) (Dorival Caymmi) -- Noite de Temporal (Dorival Caymmi) -- A Jangada Voltou Só (Dorival Caymmi) -- É Doce Morrer no Mar (Dorival Caymmi)
02 - Amanhã (Walter Santos / Tereza Souza) with Maricene Costa
03 - Berimbau (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes) with Pedrinho Mattar Trio
04 - Maria Bethania performing Missa Agrária (Carlos Lyra / Gianfrancesco Guarnieri) and Carcará (João do Vale / José Cândido)

Paulo Alencar and His Brazilian All Stars - Jazza Nova (1963)
I'm making something different today, starting the show by the main attraction that was scheduled for yesterday and could not be released. This post is also the second out of a continuous series of releases in collaboration with Caetano Rodrigues.
Actually, for the past 5 days I have been thinking how could I make a public congratulation message at Loronix for the help and enthusiasm of Caetano with Loronix community. Caetano has been so nice with Loronix that a single congratulation message like this one cannot represent my feelings.
I will not resist saying that I'm a new and very happy owner of Caetano's Bossa Nova book that came with a handwriting message of Caetano that makes my copy unique. Thanks for it Caetano and welcome to our community. You are one of the great Loronix friends.
Yesterday, I was planning with Caetano all the six initial releases sent with the book. We decided that the greatest one - absolute secret to Loronixers - will be the last one. Since this is the second, stay tune during upcoming week.
This is Paulo Alencar and His Brazilian All Stars - Jazza Nova (1963), original released by Odeon as Bossa Nova Jazz - MOSD 3323. This release speaks by itself, a Jazzy LP from the early 60's with all-stars musicians on the set and arrangements of Maestro Cipo, including piano, guitar, bass, percussion, sax, and horns on a sextet. Unfortunately, musicians were not credited, even the gorgeous Ziriguidoom singer. Bossanovadreamer will enjoy it a lot, those guys blows great. Tracks include:
01 - Verbo Amar (Herivelto Martins)
02 - Idéias (Cipó)
03 - West samba (Cipó)
04 - Why do I remember (Paulo Alencar)
05 - Ziriguidoom (Monsueto)
06 - Bossa no. 2 (Radamés Gnattali)
07 - It's really bossa (Julio Barbosa)
08 - Hello America (Haroldo Barbosa)
09 - There is no reason (Cipó)
10 - Where was I (Armando Cavalcanti)

Som Tres - Um e Pouco, Dois e Bom, Esse Som Tres e Demais (1969)
Before showing this release, I want to make an announcement that is very important to our Brazilian music community. Sabadabada.com had sometime earlier this week an update. This update came to my attention by the Bossanovadreamer, the connected German friend of Loronix.
But it was not an upgrade, we are talking about a *major* upgrade with approximately 75 new LP covers, bought on a single box a few years ago and forgot in a closet, according with Sabadabada own words. When I read that I ran quickly to my closet and nothing was found... The music was also updated with my highlights to Ruy Maurity - Safra/74 (1973), for Odeon and De Savoya - De Savoya (1972), for Polydor, De Savoya is Ed Lincoln.
That's it Take a time to visit the updated Sabadabada.com, the Sanctuary of Bossa Nova, here. (http://sabadabada.com)
With this update, I could finally manage a quality cover for this release, Som Tres - Um e Pouco, Dois e Bom, Esse Som Tres e Demais (1969) for Odeon. The wait was worth; this cover is amazing with these 70's clothes. It looks like they are dressed for a Bruce Lee movie.
Cesar Camargo Mariano arranges this LP and Som Tres is César Camargo Mariano (piano), Sabá (bass) and Toninho (drums). Tracks include:
01 - Tanga (Toninho / César Camargo Mariano)
02 - Trevo de 4 Folhas (I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover) (M. Dixon / H. Woods)
03 - Love Letters (V. Young / E. Heyman) -- Meu Nome É Gal (Roberto Carlos / Erasmo Carlos)
04 - Take It Easy My Brother Charles (Jorge Ben "Jorge Benjor")
05 - Teletema (Antônio Adolfo / Tibério Gaspar)
06 - Spooky (M. Shapina / H. Middlebrooks / B. Bule / J. Cobb)
07 - Não Identificado (Caetano Veloso)
08 - O Meu Baião (César Camargo Mariano / Chico Anísio)
09 - Bird Brain (Henry Mancini)
10 - Só Faltava Você (Sabá)
11 - Horizonte (Luis Cláudio / Luis Fernando Fonseca)
12 - Um É Pouco Dois É Bom Este Som Três É Demais (Luis Cláudio / Luis Fernando Fonseca)

Dom Salvador - Dom Salvador (1969)
Very wise of Max de Castro of calling my attention to Dom Salvador and this LP, Dom Salvador - Dom Salvador (1969), not available at Loronix and made possible by Max, who sent also the files from his personal collection. Thanks once again, Max for the great sharing spirit and your always nice collaborations.
This Dom Salvador release is a real missing piece, recorded just before the creation of Dom Salvador & Abolicao - Som, Sangue e Raça (1971), his legendary LP with the black only band Abolicao.
Max said that Dom Salvador is one of the first posts at Loronix and it is quite sure that our community will appreciate this new release. I agree with Max and I'm sure of it. Unfortunately, I could not search info on who is playing with Dom Salvador piano at the set, which is something that you can help us to identify with your collaboration in comments section. Tracks include:
01 - Tio Macrô (Dom Salvador / Arnoldo Medeiros)
02 - Asa Branca (Luis Gonzaga / Humberto Teixeira)
03 - Moeda Reza e Cor (Dom Salvador / Marcos Versiani)
04 - Cantinflas (Dom Salvador / Arnoldo Medeiros)
05 - Barumbá (Luis Eça / Bebeto)
06 - Folia de Reis (Jorge Canseira / Paulo Silva)
07 - Sambaloo (Dom Salvador / Arnoldo Medeiros)
08 - O Tempo Será Tua Paz (Dom Salvador / Mariá)
09 - O Rio (Dom Salvador / Arnoldo Medeiros)
10 - País Tropical (Jorge Ben "Jorge Benjor")
11 - Be By My Side (E. Record / B. Acklin)
12 - Cantiga Por Luciana (Paulinho Tapajós / Edmundo Souto)

Angela Maria - Quando os Maestros se Encontram com Angela Maria (1957)
What is this new invention of this crazy green bird, Post Upgrade? Simple, an old post, considered a classic record, with a new cover or better quality music files are Post Upgrade candidates. These upgrades are also useful to call the attention of the latecomers to Loronix that might be navigating only on the recent releases.
Angela Maria has a special place at Loronix and no better than Angela to start these new Post Upgrades. So, I invite you to review or meet Angela Maria - Quando os Maestros se Encontram com Angela Maria (1957) for Copacabana. Angela has Orchestra accompaniement in all tracks with a different Maestro on each track. The track list needs to be improved this time to highlight all eight Maestros invited to the set, as follow:

Rosinha de Valenca e Waltel Branco - Violao em Dois Estilos (1980)
Hello, Good night! Everybody is excited with the new Laurindo Almeida blog announced yesterday. I’m also happy, the video with The Modern Jazz Quartet is truly amazing and those impossible to find Laurindo Almeida LPs are unique.
Let's take advantage of this "guitar" mood with a LP that brings together two legends of Brazilian guitar playing, Rosinha de Valenca e Waltel Branco - Violao em Dois Estilos (1980), for Som Livre, never released on CD and very hard to find.
I'm always reluctant to say if an album is good or not, but I'm breaking this rule now: nice record. Rosinha and Waltel do not play together, Rosinha performs tracks 01 to 05 and Waltel Branco guitar can be heard on tracks 06 to 11. Bass, drums and piano accompanies some tracks, while others are just acoustic guitar solo, unfortunately, personnel in the set is not listed. Tracks include:
01 - Porto das Flores (Rosinha de Valença)
02 - Asa Branca (Luis Gonzaga / Humberto Teixeira)
03 - Valsa de Euridice (Vinicius de Moraes)
04 - Bala Com Bala (João Bosco / Aldir Blanc)
05 - Morena do Mar (Dorival Caymmi)
06 - Bachiana Nº 5 (Villa-Lobos)
07 - Ponteio (Waltel Branco)
08 - Siciliana (Maria Thereza Paradis) version: Waltel Blanco
09 - Diferenças Sobre Guarda-me Las Vacas (Luis de Novaes) version: Waltel Blanco
10 - Minueto (Johann Sebastian Bach) version: Waltel Blanco
11 - Prelúdio Nº 13 (Johann Sebastian Bach) version: Waltel Blanco

The repertoire contains samba tunes from Joao Roberto Kelly, Haroldo Lobo, Orlandivo, Tito Madi, Hildo Hora and others. Sorry about having just minimal information about Os 7 Diabos that had this nice LP that you should try. Tracks include:

Quarteto Sambacana - Muito Pra Frente (1965) with Milton Nascimento
This LP is so amazing and for an unexplainable reason is being released several months after Loronix was born. Perhaps is part of human being nature that use to keep secret of things that he likes very much, but don't blame zecalouro for keeping this record away that long, this classic is widely available and probably everybody already had the chance to listen to it before.
Anyway, this should make your day, Quarteto Sambacana - Muito Pra Frente (1965). Truly wonderful, considered the first recording by Milton Nascimento who sings and leads a vocal group formed by Milton Nascimento (solo), Gileno Tiso, Sergio Salles and Marcos de Castro. They really make the difference, accompanied by Oscar Galente and e Ubirajara Cabral (piano), Geraldo Vespar (acoustic guitar), J.T. Meirelles (flute and sax), Ed. Maciel and Joao Luis (trombone), Mauricio (piston), Moacir Marques (sax), J. Claudio (vibes), Tiao Marinho (bass) and Wilson (drums). Tracks include fourteen Pacifico Mascarenhas compositions, as follows:
01 - Tom da Canção (Pacífico Mascarenhas)
02 - O Vento Que Soprou (Pacífico Mascarenhas)
03 - Até Você Voltar (Pacífico Mascarenhas)

Joao Roberto Kelly - Joao Roberto Kelly Apresenta Rio da Samba (1977)
If you were living in Brazil during the 70's, you will probably remember this samba show aired every Saturday by Joao Roberto Kelly, Rio da Samba. I'm not sure when it started and how long it lasts, but it is something that is part of that decade to me.
Joao Roberto Kelly is a great artist and this enterprise was really amazing, some sort of freak samba show that I could never watch something similar to it. Perhaps Brazilians remembers Kelly by this show, not for the great composer he is.
Anyway, this is Joao Roberto Kelly - Joao Roberto Kelly Apresenta Rio da Samba (1977), another fine release by the hands of the great and obscure contributor Mr. X. Even zecalouro does not have a clue of Mr. X. real identity and this is part of the fun to receive his contributions that are many, with several ones in a row waiting.
The cover can give you the idea of the show "spirit". Have a try! Special attention to track 01 - Danca do Bole Bole (available by a 30s sample), which was the show theme. Tracks include:
Sorry, I forgot to say that this LP is great and has several guests, as follows: Conjunto Nosso Samba, Paulinho da Viola, Jurema, Clementina de Jesus, Lincoln, Joao Nogueira, Luiz Ayrao, Delcio Carvalho, Walter Rosa, Nadinho da Ilha and Roberto Ribeiro.
01 - Dança do Bole Bole (João Roberto Kelly)
02 - Seu Diretor (Neném / Pintado)
03 - Perdoa (Paulinho da Viola)
04 - Madame Satã (Totonho / Paulinho Resende)
05 - Marinheiro Só (Caetano Veloso)
06 - A Encruzilhada (Sônia Amaral / Bentana)
07 - Follies Bergere (João Roberto Kelly)
08 - Pimenta no Vatapá (João Nogueira / Cláudio Jorge)

Renata Lu - Renata Lu (1971)
Yesterday, the first release of the day was an LP of Nonato Buzar. Remember that I said that Renata Lu was credited as a singer on some tracks? You probably do not remember, but a new Loronixer from France, let's call him Mr. Bap., read that and decided to send a LP to zecalouro.
Amazingly, this LP was Renata Lu - Renata Lu (1971), a requested artist that I had no hope to find a LP one day. Mr. Bap. is a collector, focused on sambalanco from the 70's. Let's send greetings and thanks to Mr. Bap. This is the debut LP of Renata Lu, a Samba Singer from the 70's. She is brand new to zecalouro but I could search that her great success is Sandalia de Prata, a song released on the homonymous 1976 LP. I cannot resist saying that this cover is great. Tracks include:
01 - Faz Tanto Tempo (Marcos Moran / José Ari)
02 - Folhas de Outono (Márcio Alexandre / Hélio Matheus)
03 - Sou Frevo (Edmundo Souto / Arnoldo Medeiros)
04 - Meu Canto Minha Volta (Carlos Imperial / Jorge Roberto)
05 - Eu Quero Ficar Só (José Messias)
06 - Conta-me (Cuentame)
07 - Sambaloo (Salvador / Arnoldo Medeiros)
08 - Manias (Flávio Cavalcanti / Celso Cavalcanti)
09 - Fim de Papo (Fred Falcão / Arnaldo Medeiros)

12 - Sorriso (José Messias)

Quarteto Forma - Quarteto Forma (1970)
Hello! Good night! There are several good things to say about the solo LP of Quarteto Forma - Quarteto Forma (1970). This breezy vocal group formed by three guys and a girl is more recognized by collaborations with Osmar Milito LPs. This cover is also of note; they are on top of Moro da Urca, which is the first hill we reach with the cable car to the final destination, the famous Sugar Loaf. I hope someday, when a Loronixer spends vacations in Rio, we can go together to Moro da Urca walking until the top of the hill. It is amazing and pretty easy.
Quarteto Forma is arranged by Maestro Eduardo Lages and Carlos Monteiro de Souza. Personnel, until I could search, is so far unknown. Tracks include:
01 - Forma (Eduardo Lages)
02 - Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head (Burt Bacharach / David)
03 - Teletema (Antônio Adolfo / Tibério Gaspar)
04 - Tem Pena (Márcio Proença)

Elizabeth - Eu, Elizabeth (1969)
The singer and composer Elizabeth was requested by Refer since Loronix beginning and this post is only being released with the help of Arara Azul by sharing his cover, the missing point to bring this release to life. Elizabeth has been tracked down for months and I need also to confess that I have no much to say about her, except that she started as a Bossa Nova singer, making a further change to a more romantic oriented style.
It is obvious that she is the perfect artist for closing the last post of the day, always. Arara Azul just told me that there are more Elizabeth releases to come. Do not be paralyzed as I'm by this Julie London style cover. She sings amazingly and you should have a guaranteed try on Elizabeth - Eu, Elizabeth (1969) for Caravelle, the second LP of Elizabeth, singer and composer, first time at Loronix. Tracks include:
01 - Eu Amo e Não Sou Correspondida (Elizabeth)
02 - Eu Vou Confessar (Cleudir Borges / Hyldon)
03 - Jogue Fora a Tristeza (Elizabeth)
04 - O Amor Que Eu Sempre Quis (Elizabeth)
05 - Sou Louca Por Você (Elizabeth)
06 - Eu Gosto Mesmo Demais (Elizabeth)
07 - Kiko (Dumont)
08 - Amor de Criança (Nenéo)
09 - O Amor Mais Puro (Elizabeth)
10 - Se Vale a Pena Chorar (Carlos Pedro)
11 - Tristeza Infinita (Elizabeth)
12 - Eu Estou Amando (Elizabeth)

Baden Powell - Apaixonado (1973)
Baden Powell posts are not easy. They are really hard to be described. Baden Powell universe is so rich and complex; each release is different from the other on several aspects. Baden Powell music is amazing a guaranteed listening pleasure.
Baden Powell - Apaixonado (1973), follows Estudos, both are considered as part of Baden experimental phase with a lot of improvisation. Banden is backed up here by a septet. This amazing psycho cover with Baden growing inside a plant with a guitar flying on top is also great. I could not find its creator, which is probably a German artist since this LP was released by the German label MPS Records, during Baden years in Germany. Tracks include ten Baden compositions:
1. Casa Velha (Baden Powell)
2. Alcântara (Baden Powell)
3. Igarapé (Baden Powell)
4. Estórias de Alcântara (Baden Powell)
5. Waltzing (Baden Powell)
6. Lembranças (Baden Powell)
7. Abstrato (Baden Powell)
8. As Flores (Baden Powell)
9. Balantofe (Baden Powell)
10. Brisa do Mar (Baden Powell)

Ed Lincoln - Novo Toque (1989)
Loronix is all about Brazilian music from the 50's to 70's. This is what I say when asked to describe Loronix in a short sentence. Actually there are some few releases from the early 80's. If it is something really unique from the late 80's or 90's, I can break all of the rules and release.
That's exactly what happens with this LP, sent a couple of hours ago by the mighty Mr. X. Ed Lincoln - Novo Toque (1989), a late release from the legendary organist Ed Lincoln, one of the most wanted artists at Loronix.
Mr. X. did great this time with additional information about this LP, recorded at Polygram studios in Rio de Janeiro for Elenco with Paulinho Trumpete (trumpet), Barney (percussion), Pedrao, Ronaldo Barcelos, Renato Ladeira, Chico Pupa, Marcelo Saboia, Marcos Saboia and Mauricio Saboia (voices). Tony D'Carlo sings the song "Montanha Russa".
I'm not sure if it is the last Ed Lincoln solo release and I'm sure that you will be really nice to check how a late Ed Lincoln makes it. Tracks include:
01 - O Ganso (Ed Lincoln / Orlann Divo)
02 - São Salvador (Durval Ferreira)
03 - Ai Que Saudade Dessa Nega (Ed Lincoln)
04 - Waldemar (Devel / Orlann Divo)
05 - Gaivotas (Ed Lincoln)
06 - The Blues Walk (C. Brown)
07 - Montanha-russa (Melô do Esqueleto) (Ed Lincoln / Nilson de Alburquerque) - with Tony D'carlo
08 - É o Cid (Ed Lincoln / Silvio César)
09 - Palladium (Ed Lincoln / Orlann Divo)
10 - Catedral (Celinho)
11 - Na Onda do Berimbau (Oswaldo Nunes) -- Pergunte ao João (Swing / Renira Lima) -- Zum Zum Zum (Silva / Orlann Divo)

Nonato Buzar - Nonato Buzar e o Pais Tropical Via Paris (1975)
Good night, Friends! Rapidshare.com is unhappily slow today. It was soooo good since launching, 60Kbs (uploads) and 240Kbps (downloads). No problem with that, but the daily picks are under some adjusting to cope with this. I will make my best to show you the nice ones already available there.
This is Nonato Buzar - Nonato Buzar e o Pais Tropical Via Paris (1975), for Copacabana.
It is a bless that this LP is already available there; it was promised to be released today to Refer in the last Nonato Buzar release.
This LP has some interesting facts, the participation of the singer Renata Lu, one of the most requested artists at Loronix that zecalouro is tracking down for months and also Josdan e As Carioquinhas, probably a band with no information about. Personnel is Nonato Buzar (acoustic guitar and viola), Eduardo (piano), Zeca (drums, excelent drummer), Armando Monteiro (percussion) and Milton Botelho (bass). Tracks include:
01 - Mon Ami João (Nonato Buzar / Durval Ferreira)
02 - Estou Triste Sim (Nonato Buzar)
03 - Sandrinha (Nonato Buzar)
04 - Tá Chegando a Hora (Nonato Buzar)
05 - Pelo Amor de Deus (Nonato Buzar / Paulinho Tapajós)
06 - Visita da Velha Cigana (Nonato Buzar)

09 - Céu Vermelho (Nonato Buzar)
10 - Vale Sagrado (Nonato Buzar)
11 - Carinhosamente (Nonato Buzar)

Leny Andrade - Gravado no Mexico (1966)
I think there is some kind if mystery connection with Brazilian artists and their LPs recorded in Mexico. As far as I remember, Loronix has Carlos Lyra, Wilson Simonal, Tamba Trio and Joao Gilberto "recorded in Mexico" LPs, all great.
Let's try another, in collaboration with Mr. K. from Japan, Leny Andrade - Gravado no Mexico (1966), really hard to find and perhaps unknown for many, even Leny Andrade aficionados. This is the kind of record that everybody knowns that exist but nobody had the chance to listen.
Leny has the accompaniement of Breno Sauer (vibraphone), Portinho (drums), Erneo Eger (bass) and Adao Pinheiro (piano). I'm making available tracks, a 30s sample and also Leny Andrade & Luiz Carlos Vinhas music video presenting Influencia do Jazz.
01 - Saravá (Samba da Benção) (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
02 - Canto de Chegar (Mutinho)
03 - Na Baixa do Sapateiro (Ary Barroso) -- Saudades da Bahia (Dorival Caymmi)
04 - Estamos Aí (Durval Ferreira / Regina Werneck / Maurício Einhorn)
05 - Noite do Meu Bem (Dolores Duran)
06 - Aruanda (Carlos Lyra) -- Feio Não É Bonito (Carlos Lyra / Gianfrancesco Guarnieri) -- Exaltação à Mangueira (Da Costa / Da Silva)
07 - O Pato (Jayme Silva / Neuza Teixeira) -- Samba da Mimha Terra (Dorival Caymmi) -- Só Danço Samba (Tom Jobim / Newton Mendonça)
08 - Capoeira de Oxalá (Luis Carlos Sá)
09 - É de Manhã (Caetano Veloso) -- Menino das Laranjas (Theo de Barros)
10 - Saravá (Samba da Benção) (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
