This is Trio Surdina & Leo Peracchi e Sua Orquestra - Ary Barroso (1953), for Musidisc, featuring Trio Surdina, as Fafa Lemos (violin), Chiquinho do Acordeom (accordion) and the legendary Garoto (violao) and the might Maestro Leo Peracchi e Sua Orquestra. This amazing cover alone worth the admission price, and the music is great, fresh as it was recorded for the first time a couple of years ago. This is one of those you do not have to explain, just guide. Tracks include:
01 - Rio de Janeiro (Ary Barroso) - Trio Surdina
02 - Inquietação (Ary Barroso) - Trio Surdina
03 - Na Baixa do Sapateiro (Ary Barroso) - Trio Surdina
04 - Risque (Ary Barroso) - Trio Surdina
05 - Aquarela do Brasil (Ary Barroso) - Léo Peracchi
06 - Por Causa Desta Cabôca (Ary Barroso / Luis Peixoto) - Léo Peracchi
07 - Brasil Moreno (Ary Barroso / Luis Peixoto) - Léo Peracchi
08 - No Tabuleiro da Baiana (Ary Barroso) - Léo Peracchi
As usual, no night is complete without my nightly visit to Loronix. Tonight I was surprised with a Baden Powell which was one of the few that I did not have and then this album which I am looking forward to hearing.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Zecalouro and Zeca are both well and that Zeca has gotten over the effects the blaring music that went along with Carnival.
quem canta ironia neste disco?
ReplyDeleteIronia? É uma faixa? Normalmente os vocais do Trio Surdina são feitos por Fafa Lemos.
