This is Trio Maraya - Trio Maraya (1966), for Som Maior. I always heard about Trio Maraya as a Samba Jazz trio, such like, Bossa Tres and others, actually they are a blend of Bossa Nova combo with regional music from Brazil Northeast. Trio Maraya also delivers consistent vocal arrangements. Caetano said this album was hunted by everybody a couple of years ago and continues listed with very high prices in auction sites. Ely Arcoverde can be considered member number "four" of Trio Maraya, playing piano, organ and in charge of all instrumental arrangements. Hermeto Pascoal also takes the role of flute player on tracks 02, 04 and 08. Let's feedback Trio Maraya, so we can understand better why this album is on the wish list of every collector. In my opinion this is one of the top 5 records ever posted on loronix, and that is saying a lot. The arrangements are wonderful, the vocal harmonies perfect. Thanks for providing this in better quality!
