I'm a statistics driven parrot. I spend a time browsing numbers. I love these things. I like to see the numbers and understand what we have behind them. Maria Creuza is a special case, in spite of no explicit feedback from Loronixers, her albums are downloaded by many friends, above the average of others. Perhaps it is her participation on La Fusa with Vinicius de Moraes and Toquinho, I don't know. Anyway, this is in response of the great feedback given to Maria Creuza, let's see.
This is Maria Creuza - Maria Creuza (1972), for RGE. I was used with Maria Creuza releases for RCA and had a great difficult on finding info about this one. RCA Victor uses to enclose personnel information and sometimes even associates musicians with their participation on each track. You will see with the music that RGE do not give any kind of information, on back cover. That's why personnel is not credited this time, except by the participation of Sebastiao Tapajos, information available on both Side A and B labels. Tracks include:
01 - De Onde Vens (Dori Caymmi / Nelson Motta)
02 - Você Já Foi à Bahia (Dorival Caymmi)
03 - Eu e a Brisa (Johnny Alf)
04 - Queixas (Antônio Carlos Marques / Jocafi)
05 - João Valentão (Dorival Caymmi)
06 - Mas Que Doidice (Antônio Carlos Marques / Jocafi)
07 - Ossain (Antônio Carlos Marques / Jocafi / Tavares)
08 - Foi a Noite (Tom Jobim / Newton Mendonça)
09 - Morena Flor (Toquinho / Vinicius de Moraes)
10 - Carinhoso (Pixinguinha / João de Barro)
11 - Insensatez (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
12 - Você Abusou (Antônio Carlos Marques / Jocafi)
Hi Zeca, Wow, three Antônio Carlos & Jocafi songs. Can't wait to see how she handles these. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteObrigada por essa maravilha, Zeca.Um abraço.
ReplyDeleteJust saw her perform at Vinicius, a small bossa club in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, in late March 09. It was one of the best live shows I have seen in a long time. She's great!!
