amazing story, although the translation was an automatic one I managed to understand almost all of it. What is amazing is the road Gordon( Gordin) took to arrive to Brazil via China ,Israel and other places. I believe Gulber who came from Romania is also a Jew and might also had a story about his personal life. The Russian Jews who were in Shanghai arrived from Russia after the October 1917 revolution and have an very interesting stories of life. For those who wants to know more about Jews in China look here to start :

Hello!
ReplyDeletereally amazing. I like these stories and your feedback was very important. As far as I know, Lanny Gordin did not record career albums, in spite of being a gifted musicians with several participations on important records as sideman.
Thanks for commenting.

Thanks, my parents lived in Rio ( Rua de Peru in Copacabana )from 1977 to 1981 ,they spoke Brazilian and loved the country and the music and culture. I still have some vinyls stored in the basement which I will unpack soon to see if there is something I can contribute to the site.
