Since the first day I met Caetano he always says this is the album I need to look for in terms of excellence on Bossa Jazz instrumental music from the 60's. That's why Caetano pleases us with the reposting of The Bossa Nova Modern Quartet, an obscure group assembled by Sinter in the early 60's. This is The Bossa Nova Modern Quartet - Bossa Nova Jazz Samba (1963), for Sinter (Musidisc subsidiary), featuring Jorginho (sax, flute), Plinio (drums), Luiz Marinho (bass) and Claudio das Neves (vibraphone). I though Ed Lincoln would be one of the musicians as he delivers several compositions. Taken from the master tapes, the music is 100% clean, available on FLAC lossless files and traditional MP3s.
