Hello! I gave this album (in very poor technical condition due to the many and many times it was heard), and I didn't know it was hard to find, or even that it was unknown to you, Zeca! I've downloaded and am here hearing it. delighted. Thanks, Zeca.
ReplyDeleteOops ... correcting: I HAVE this album ... and didn't nor don't GAVE it ... it was a typo.
ReplyDeleteGreat album, I searched this for a long time. It seems, that it was made in several sessions, especially track 9 sounds very different to the others, that cool Paul Desmond like altosax is great. May be this is played by Hector Costita.
ReplyDeleteA coincidence: probably at the same time it has been issued by RCA Victor an LP with the same title recorded by some of the best players of the 1960s. Chaim Lewak and Paulinho Magalhães (so-called as Paulinho Baterista) passed away in the USA. Julinho Barbosa is living in Germany since the early seventies and as far as I know Ed Maciel is retired. Chaim Lewak played many years with Moacyr Silva until he went to the USA; there he recorded with Moacyr Santos on the album "The Maestro".
ReplyDeletetried to download, but it's not working...
