Os Azes da Bossa - Samba em Duas Bossas (1964)

Hello, Good Evening! We have a great week ahead with a great new thing that should thrill Loronixers. I will let everybody know later on. Let's start today with an album sent by Caetano Rodrigues, an instrumental session with a very common situation in the 60's, musicians not credited due contract obligation with another record label. Let's see.

This is Os Azes da Bossa - Sambas em Duas Bossas (1964), for Musiplay, a really nice instrumental album and the first and only LP of this unknown group. I do not have idea who is behind this quartet formed by an excellent drummer, an organist, bass and guitar player delivering some nice Samba Jazz renditions of Bossa Nova standards. Tracks include:

01 - Faceira (Ary Barroso)
02 - Lá Vem a Baiana (Dorival Caymmi)
03 - É Luxo Só (Ary Barroso / Luis Peixoto)
04 - Mulata Assanhada (Ataulfo Alves)
05 - Devagar Com a Louça (Haroldo Barbosa / Luis Reis)
06 - Morena Boca de Ouro (Ary Barroso)
07 - Mas Que Nada (Jorge Ben "Jorge Benjor")
08 - Bolinha de Sabão (Orlann Divo / Adilson Azevedo)
09 - Garota de Ipanema (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
10 - Bossa na Praia (Geraldo Cunha / Pery Ribeiro)
11 - Você e Eu (Carlos Lyra / Vinicius de Moraes)
12 - Só Danço Samba (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)

  3. Aqui é Walter Wanderley com certeza
    Azeitona no Baixo
Na Guitarra é o Heraldo ou Edgar
Particularmente acho que é o Edgar Gianullo (Jacó)
