This is Caetano Rodrigues homage to a very good friend of Loronix, Maria Helena, daughter of the friend you see at this beautiful cover. Amazon River is an unique release at Loronix, featuring Paulo Andre Barata, one of the most important artist from the city of Belem do Para at Amazon region.

Unique and at the same time beautiful, showing an artist very connected with the traditions of the Amazon region with a touch of the big Brazilian cities, perhaps given by Joao Donato, in charge of piano playing, music direction, vocal and instrumental arrangements. Thanks to Maria Helena, her active participation at our community makes us remember this great artist.

This is Paulo Andre Barata - Amazon River (1980), for Continental, featuring compositions by Paulo Andre and his longtime partner and father, Ruy Barata. Brazilian friends will immediately remember the song 04 - Foi Assim, a blockbuster in the mid 70's and the most successful song by the Brazilian singer Fafa de Belem.
