Julinho - Seu Piston e Seu Conjunto 100% Bossa (1963)

Meet Julinho the legendary (yes, another legendary) Brazilian piston player with Julinho - Seu Piston e Seu Conjunto 100% Bossa (1963), an acclaimed SambaJazz Brazilian record.

Julinho started his career in the 50's, working for Brazilian record labels - Odeon, Philips - and member of the anthological Orquestra Tabajara de Maestro Severino Araujo. After working with many renowned Brazilian jazzists of that time, Julinho left Brazil for a short stay in the US with Paulo Moura, where they made connections with Dizzy Dillespie.

Coming back to Brazil, Julinho released his first solo LPs, O Som de Julinho, and this one Julinho - Seu Piston e Seu Conjunto 100% Bossa, which is Julinho plus Dom Salvador (piano), Robertinho Silva (drums), Luiz (bass), Neco (guitar) and Oberdan (sax). Since the mid 70's Julinho has moved to German, being there since then and still playing hard close to 80 years old. He is really the man! Tracks include:
