It has been 24 years since we lost Waldir Calmon, one of the artists that zecalouro receives several emails requesting and suggesting posts. Our Brazilian friends with more than 30 years old certainly have listen several times at the movies the song Na Cadencia do Samba, which was the background music of a soccer show exhibited before the main attraction.It came to my attention it was Waldir Calmon music only when I started Loronix. Shame on this green bird.
This is Waldir Calmon e Sua Orquestra - Mambos! (1959) a reissue of a 10' from 1955 with additional four songs taken from Mambos Nr2 (1957). This record was reissued for Copacabana in the 90's. Tracks include:
