Cara, inclusive, a audição deste disco me lembrou o moacyr santos pela coisa numero 1. Tem como colocar algum disco dele? Esse do Bola Sete é muito bom. Estou-o escutando nesse exato momento enquanto o Brasil joga com a croácia pela copa do mundo. Doidêra!

Hey Taste of Vinyl,

I'm very happy with your feedback. You have a wonderful blog. I did not realized that a day I could receive that warm greeting from you.

You made my day, maybe my week...

I will put a link to yours here at Loronix, so we can stay virtually attached.

Bye.

Salve Felipe,

Com certeza qualquer coisa é melhor do que ver Brasil e Croatia na copa do mundo. Confesso que dormi no segundo tempo! -)

Vou ver o Moacyr Santos... Quem sabe...

Abraços!

Hi!
I'm bossa fan from Russia, and I'm really enjoin' your blog!!
Well, back to great Bola Sete's LP.
I think, that your replicate mistake from the CD cover!!!
Drummer Paulinho is not Paulinho Da Costa, but Paulinho Magalhaes. Reasons? Great Paulinho Da Costa came to US only at 70s, and he is black, not white as drummer on Bola's Autentico LP cover from this period

Hey,

Russia is one of the top 20 countries among current 81.

Greetings from Brazil and thanks for the correction, I will be editing the post to Paulinho Magalhaes.

You are very knowledgeable on Brazilian music, congratulations.

I am moved to post something about Bola Sete here that I heard Claudio Slon say in a radio interview. Claudio was playing live in Los Angeles with Bola at the time he got the call from Antonio Carlos Jobim to work with Jobim on the upcoming "Wave" album and the Frank Sinatra TV special which was going to have Sinatra & Jobim perform a duet of tunes from their first album together. Claudio felt very badly that he could not join Jobim for these gigs and he told Jobim that he was currently engaged to play with Bola. Jobim kept pressing Claudio to join him as he wanted a Brazilian drummer and no one else in the U.S. was available. He kept repeating that it was an upcoming album AND a tv special with Sinatra...finally, Claudio gave in and asked Bola if Bola would mind Claudio getting a replacement drummer to finish out the gig and told him of Jobim's request. Bola was very gracious and though disappointed, agreed to the replacement drummer. He wished Claudio well and said in so many words that if it was Jobim asking, he totally understood why Claudio should go....

Zeca,
On July 27 2006.... long time ago!! you said that you'll correct the mistake about Paulinho da Costa, but the error is still there. (You have been too busy giving us the best music in the world, so you are forgiven). When I spoke with Paulinho DC, he told me that in 1966 he was not even near the USA, so he was not performing in Monterey. He'd loved to, but his time came in the 70's when Sergio Mendes invited him to join his group.
Obrigado
Jaime from LA.
