Now we have here a beautiful organ based Samba LP from Brasilia Modern Six - Estreia (1969). The cover is wonderful. Perhaps Devo got some inspiration with this cover to build-up their style.
I don't have consistent info about Brasilia Modern Six or about this Estreia album, but the singer has a wonderful female voice and there are some known tracks, such like: believe me, Light My Fire (The Doors). However, when they perform their own material in Portuguese, they make it better.
If someone has any relevant info about Brasilia Modern Six, please, feel free.

Oh, what a great site. The bossa from Brazil is marvellous. I got into it some 10 years ago after purchasing the "Blue Brazil, Vol. 1: Blue Note in a Latin Groove ". The Milton Banana Trio is simply the best summer music you can get! And Elza Soares' Deixa isso pra la! The really vintage Soares stuff is hard to get. Ordered some new stuff by her, but alas it didn't have the same punch as deixa... She is still alve I guess... Thanks
Oh............!!!!!
Rare album thanks!!!
You are the highest in blogger that I know.
Hey Dimmu,
That's right. Believe me or not, many people in Brazil does not know bossa and Brazilian music from the 60's, mainly those ones under 30-35.
Elza is in a good shape. She does not sell a lot of albums as in the past, but is always making performance and experiencing new things such like electronics, etc.
Stay with the old Elza.
Thanks for commenting.
