Hello, good evening! In the beginning of Loronix, the most difficult task I had was the decision making process to select the last post of the day. Something has changed since then and I don't know what, but in the last months I have a thought time deciding what should be the opening post. For instance, I started this paragraph with an album on my mind and now I have a totally different choice. This makes me fell crazy! Anyway, now I have a third option that seems to be the right one. Let's see.
This is Leo Peracchi & Os Violinos Magicos - Melodia da Broadway (1961), for Musidisc, another nice Nilo Sergio - Musidisc owner - creation and the second out of a series of seven albums released by this group of Brazilian musicians assembled as Os Violinos Magicos with the coordination of Maestro Leo Peracchi. I have a friend that had the chance of watching a recording session of Os Violinos Magicos, he said that Nilo Sergio and Leo Peracchi assembled a big orchestra with musicians taken from Orquestra Sinfonica Brasileira. Os Violinos Magicos were very popular in the 60's and this is the first album made available at Loronix. Let's feedback this release using comment section. Tracks include:
01 - Rio Rita (H. Tierney / J. McCarthy)
02 - Do The New York (J. P. Murray / B. Trivera / B. Oakland)
03 - A Pretty Girl Is Like a Melody (Irving Berlin)
04 - Blue Skies (Irving Berlin)
05 - You (W. Donaldson / H. Adamson)
