Marilia Medalha - Caminhada (1972)

Marilia Medalha started her career in the 60's, at the city of Niterio, Rio de Janeiro, performing with Sergio Mendes on local nightclubs. Later, she became an active performer on Festivais da Cancao, TV shows and recordings, working together with renowned Brazilian artists, such as: Edu Lobo, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Toquinho, Vinicius de Moraes, which is Marilia Medalha most frequent composer partner.

PQP!! I found out about this blog two days ago and I cannot sleep anymore. Congratulations for this amazing source of stuff I never thought I'd get.

Now, one question: how can I not wait for the downloads at rapidshare?

zecalouro said...

Thanks for not sleeping! :-) To avoid Rapidshare waiting between downloads you should change your IP address between downloads. In most cases, it is just a matter of turn off your modem.

The second option is subscribing for a Rapidshare premium account.

Cheers, zeca

Zeca, you make it sound in your description that you're not that impressed with this period in Marilia's career. But this disc sounds great to me! It's a lovely production. I'm upgrading to the FLAC files right now.

This is o Hermeto on flute (I thinks)...not Hamleto. I never hears of hamleto before - just a make up name? Listen tk 3, about 3.10. This H flute style. Maybe can be checked? Che-e-rs.
