Disco de Bolso - O Tom de Antonio Carlos Jobim e o Tal de Joao Bosco (1972) Single | First Recording of Aguas de Marco

Hello, good evening! This is so far the greatest zecalouro's mother finding. Actually, not a finding, she had this little recorded since 1972 and both did not remember. She found it inside a closet and called immediately to announce her finding.

When I told her she had the first recording of Aguas de Marco, released on May, 1972, months before the "official" release at Matita Pere, she got really amazed and send it in the next day for us. This recording was released in Disco de Bolso magazine, a bonus recorded included in the anthological magazine Pasquim. Let's see.

This is Disco de Bolso - O Tom de Antonio Carlos Jobim e o Tal de Joao Bosco (1972), for Zen, featuring the Side A with the first recording of Aguas de Marco and Side B with the first recording of Joao Bosco (probably unknown by that time), performing Agnus Sei. Aguas de Marco is very different from the version released in Matita Pere, it is faster than usual and Antonio Carlos Jobim seems to have a hard time trying to sing on such speed. The recording occurs inside the studio of Sergio Ricardo, the editor of Disco de Bolso magazine, a nice idea that had only a second edition with Caetano Veloso and Fagner. This is another important piece of history being released at Loronix. Tracks include:

Personnel

Antonio Carlos Jobim
(voice)
Bebeto (Tamba Trio), Paulinho Jobim, Franklin, Paulo, Ratto
(flute)
Joao Palma
(percussion)
Novelli
(bass)
Eduardo Athayde
(violao)

Track List

01 - Aguas de Marco (Antonio Carlos Jobim) with Antonio Carlos Jobim
02 - Agnus Sei (Joao Bosco / Aldir Blanc) with Joao Bosco

Very cool record. The warm vinyl sound sounds so good on track 2 too.
