This is Fafa Lemos – Fafa Lemos e Seu Violino com Surdina (1955), for RCA Victor, featuring the legendary violinist, singer and why not, whistler Fafa Lemos at his best, performing a repertoire of his own compositions, Brazilian and international tunes. Fafa Lemos was part of the original formation of Trio Surdina with Garoto (violao) and Chiquinho do Acordeon (accordion). I’m not sure if Fafa Lemos was the first to introduce the violin to Brazilian popular music, but I’m sure Fafa Lemos is the musician that better made it. My highlight goes to 03 – Time Perna de Pau with lyrics sung by Fafa Lemos and 02 – Delicado, which is my pick at Loronix Preview Center. Tracks include:
01 - Feitiço da Vila (Noel Rosa / Vadico)
02 - Delicado (Waldir Azevedo)
03 - Time Perna de Pau (Vicente Amar)
04 - Mil Violinos (Jay Livingston / Evans / De Liano)
05 - Dengoso (Renaud)
06 - Chão de Estrelas (Silvio Caldas / Orestes Barbosa)
07 - Giannina Mia (O. Harbach / R. Friml)
08 - Fafá Em Hollywood (Fafá Lemos)

Louro, que disco sensacional! Tenho ele em vinil e há tempos que venho procurando ele na internet.
No acordeon temos maestro Chiquinho.
Salve a música brasileira!
