Joao Gilberto - Desafinado (1993)

Shame on me for postponing this more than necessary upgrade. This is one of the oldest albums made available at Loronix, in the second week of our website. Additionally, this is one of Joao Gilberto albums that I hear more often. Desafinado is a compilation of Joao Gilberto early recordings and it is perfect to introduce Joao Gilberto for someone who does not know Joao Gilberto. If there is someone who doesn’t. I'm really excited with this update. Let's see.

This is Joao Gilberto - Desafinado (1993), for Rondo, featuring twelve short tunes (all tunes with less than 3 minutes running time) with early Joao Gilberto recordings. This album is really obscure; the label Saludos Amigos originally issued it, which is probably a Mexican label. I'm presenting a Japanese reissue by Rondo, featuring this nice cover artwork, just the opposite from the Saludos Amigos issue featuring a photo of Antonio Carlos Jobim instead of Joao Gilberto.

Everything works fine, the repertoire is very well selected and the friend who made the track order was really on a good day. I use to say that Joao Gilberto should be listened with the lights out, headphone and laid down on the ground with the maximum volume. I hope you really appreciate this upgrade. Tracks include:
