I made today an important achievement on my Bossa Nova education, watching for the first time the original 1959 Marcel Camus Orfeu Negro (Black Orpheus) movie. Now I understand why this movie had a major role on leverage Bossa Nova popularity outside of Brazil, it is a nice movie 50 years later; I can't realize how good it would be watching for the first time in 1959. I decided to start 2008 with this excerpt of Orfeu Negro, when Orfeu shows his new song for the first time to two kids with Eurydice dancing around the place.
