I'm a big fan of stories, photos and everything about the nightclubs from Rio de Janeiro in the 50's to 60's. Why not post the music performed on these nightclubs? Yesterday we had the chance to know Sacha, the pianist and owner of Sacha's, a nightclub at Leme - were I had the chance to live for some years on an apartment at the same building of Sacha's - that lasts until the late 90's.Let's take from this time another live performance on a nightclub, the legendary Drink. Meet Helena de Lima - Uma Noite no Drink (1969). Helena de Lima performs here that traditional pout-porri with Noel Rosa compositions and additional eleven tracks, selected from the most popular Samba-Cancao tunes of that time. Tracks include:

on the www.superflyrecords.com site, there is also a Helena de Lima 4 track compacto called "Sempre Favela". This sounds very good too. On the same site I saw, that there also is a single by Geraldo Vandre in duet with Tuca (Porta Estandarte). I never heard of this single before.
