I like to say thank you once in a while, but this time I want to say that I *need* to say Thank You. I have received today eight contributions. Amazing. It is also necessary to say that the contributions are being queued, so yours should wait some time to reach Loronix.
This is the contribution number 7 of this Friday, not queued because I'm a fan of this artist and this beautiful cover makes this post something very hard to resist. This is Sivuca - Sivuca (1972), for Vanguard and issued in Brazil in 1974 for Copacabana.
Andrade is the Loronix friend that took this forgotten treasure from his personal collection and made everything. Thanks a million Andrade. Sivuca plays accordion, guitar and piano, backed by Morris Goldberg (sax, clarinet and flute), Charles Chapellear (bass), Sadiq Shabazz (drums), Angel Allende and Sivuca (percussion), Cindy Kimball, Sue Cummings and Sivuca (vocals). Tracks include:
01 - Ain't no Sunshine (B. Withers)
02 - Você Abusou (I'm Free as a Bird) (Antônio Carlos Marques / Jocafi)
03 - Tunnel (Hermeto Pascoal)
04 - Ponteio (Edu Lobo / Capinan)
05 - Rosa na Favela (A Rose Born In The Ghetto) (Sergio Ricardo)
06 - Adeus Maria Fulô (Sivuca / Humberto Teixeira)
07 - Inquietação (Foolishness Of Youg Love) (Ary Barroso)
08 - Amor Verdadeiro (True Love) (Sivuca / Bandeira)
09 - Lament Of Berimbau (Sivuca)
10 - Arrasta Pé (Partytime) (Tradicional / Adpt. Sivuca)
