Hello! Good Night! Today, the green bird has flown to Sao Paulo to visit Caetano Rodrigues and old vinyl fair. Great time with Caetano and great music available at the fair with fair prices (sorry, I could not resist). Stay tuned, as never at Loronix, many wonderful new releases will come daily.
As we are releasing one single post today, it is necessary to be an amazing post, not the outcome of the fair visit, but another nice contribution of Caetano Rodrigues that we are starting to get used and addicted to it.
This is Rosana Toledo - Momento Novo (1964), for Philips, the last Rosana Toledo LP, considered one of her best albums. Maestro Lindolfo Gaya that also leads Orquestra Gaia in all tracks arranges Momento Novo. This is a solid LP from the start to the end with this truly amazing cover. I'm wondering if these little babies have some kind of connection with the LP title, Momento Novo. Tracks include:
01 - Hoje É Dia de Amor (Luis Bonfá / Maria Helena Toledo)
02 - Inútil Paisagem (Tom Jobim / Aloysio de Oliveira)
03 - Recomeço (Durval Ferreira / Luis Fernando Freire)
04 - Quanto Custa Amar (Normando / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
05 - A Tarde Sorriu Pra Mim (Osmar Navarro / Alcina Maria)
06 - Adriana (Roberto Menescal / Luis Fernando Freire)
07 - Momento Novo (Luis Bonfá / Maria Helena Toledo)
08 - Ama (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
09 - Pequeno Olhar (Luis Bonfá / Maria Helena Toledo)
10 - Mar à Mar (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
11 - Encanto Triste (Durval Ferreira / Pedro Camargo)
12 - Só Tinha de Ser Com Você (Tom Jobim / Aloysio de Oliveira)

Hello Zeca,
this is the LP I always looked for.
I think it is Rosana`s best, every
track is by a Bossa-composer, "Quanto custa amar" a rare composition by Normando Santos. Thank you very much, Caetano, for this great contribution.
(o repertório é apetitoso, e a capa sensacional. Grato desde já e sempre.
Hi,
Rosana is really great. She has a sister that is also an amazing singer and composer - Maria Helena Toledo, that was married with Luiz Bonfá (what a family!).
Maria recorded several LPs with Bonfa, Stan Getz and others (and as a solo singer), but all of them in the USA. She also deserves to be remembered!
Regards,
