Hello, good evening! This cover artwork is very beautiful, but every time I take a look, it makes me remember Nelson Cavaquinho, I will tell why. Nelson had a great fear of death, which is something clear at his compositions with several lyrics having death as a theme. Nelson Cavaquinho would never release an album like this, the clouds and the title, Subindo ao Ceu, free translated as Going up to the Sky, in English. Let's take this image and this title with another meaning, going up to the sky with the beautiful violao playing and compositions by Dilermando Reis, which is problably what Continental had in mind when creating this title and cover art. Let's see.
This is Dilermando Reis - Subindo ao Ceu (1966), for Continental, featuring only Dilermando Reis violao performing his own compositions. This is the second Dilermando Reis album made available to Loronxiers, much better than the first one with songs from several countries. Dilermando Reis delivers better results performing his own compositions. The exception is the first track, which is the one that gives the album title, composed by Aristides Borges, a beautiful valsa. Tracks include:
- Subindo ao Céu (Aristides Borges)
- Conversa de Baiana (Dilermando Reis)
- Romântica (Dilermando Reis)
- Baile na Fronteira (Dilermando Reis)
- Valsa das Hortências (Dilermando Reis)
- Desengano (Dilermando Reis)
- Enquanto Meu Amor Não Vem (Dilermando Reis)
- Moderninho (Dilermando Reis)
- Ana Cristina (Dilermando Reis)
- Prelúdio Em Forma de Oração (Dilermando Reis)
- Reclamando (Dilermando Reis)
- Alma Nortista (Dilermando Reis)
