Let's start the music showing the second out of the four albums recorded by Tito Madi on his "A Fossa" sequel. The other three volumes were made available during this year and they had a nice response from Loronixers. This is a great series, but the name "A Fossa" does not help much. Tito Madi performs a great repertoire on all these four LPs, including artists that were just appearing to public by that time, such as Secos & Molhados. Let's see.
This is Tito Madi - A Fossa Vol. 2 (1972), for London. This cover is great, including the back cover with Tito Madi as a giant among the girls, but I still prefer the one made for the first volume, the pink one also released on different colors on top of the same artwork. Tito Madi performs some of his own compositions, Bossa Nova standards and a very nice Caetano Veloso composition, Coracao Vagabundo. Once again, personnel listing is not credited. Tracks include:
01 - Chove La Fora (Tito Madi)
02 - Minha (Francis Hime / Ruy Guerra)
03 - Por Causa de Você (Tom Jobim / Dolores Duran)
04 - Alguém Como Tu (José Maria de Abreu / Jair Amorim)
05 - Coração Vagabundo (Caetano Veloso)
06 - Pra Machucar Meu Coração (Ary Barroso)
07 - Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
08 - Neste Mesmo Lugar (Armando Cavalcanti / Klécius Caldas)
09 - Vem Hoje (Moacir Silva / Antônio Maria)
10 - Por Favor Ligue a Vitrola (Tito Madi)
11 - Molambo (Jaime Florence "Meira" / Augusto Mesquita)
12 - Chove Outra Vez (Tito Madi / Romeo Nunes) - E a Chuva Parou (Ribamar / Esdras Pereira da Silva / Victor Freire)

A Masterpiece, Thanks for sharing this Lp with us. I remember Tito Madi from my youth days living in Rio. There is a certain whimsical charm about his singing. And, of course, the songs written by Madi touch my inner feelings of longing for happiness.
Thank you sir. Excited to hear this.
Thanks for this, GREAT!
I became interested in Tito Madi because of Milton Nascimento's hearwrenching version of "Chove Lá Fora" on his live record "Milagre dos Peixes-Vivo".
Tito's own version isn't genius as Milton, not as dramatic and desperate... but extremely musical, and loads of fun!
This record, however, actually IS commercially available. I downloaded it on the french iTunes Music Store, as "2 em 1" packahe including Vol. 1 and 2 of "A Fossa"
Still, thanks, for putting the original record cover here!
