This is a request from Quadradinho (Cbox) friends. It was recorded in 1984, TV Cultura, I don't know if this quintet has a name, so I'm giving the name "Jazz Quintet". Very well played instrumental music by Evaldo (piano), William (drums), Itamar (bass), Alan (trumpet) and Bauru (sax). Thanks Luiz Harding for this very nice music.

Toots Thielemans recorded two tribute albums for Brazilian Music, which are called Brasil Project 1 and 2. Caetano already sent to us the second edition, Brasil Project 2, a very nice album, acclaimed by many Loronixers. I could not wait longer for making Brasil Project 1 as soon arrived. The last track 12 - Bluesette is the main attraction, requested by Beto Kessel, kindly associated by zecalouro as Loronix Ambassador. Beto Kessel is a nice friend, knows everything about Brazilian music and Jazz and I want to dedicate this post to our Ambassador.
Elza Soares released several albums in the 60's, all for Odeon, starting in 1960 with her debut LP, Se Acaso Voce Chegasse, until her last Odeon release in 1973, a self-titled album with a picture of Elza Soares making a bored face, not so nice as this one. I think we have covered most of this glorious "Odeon phase", but this one, Um Show de Elza, is perhaps one of the best albums of her Odeon phase, such like the acclaimed Com a Bola Branca that follows this release. Thanks Mr. G. for this obscure and widely unknown O Grupo album. Mr. G., is a Loronix collaborator since the very first beginning and he gave this album to us just before Caetano Rodrigues made available O Grupo debut LP by Odeon. I have been on a never ending hunting for Bola Sete albums recorded in Brazil before he made his move to the US. Bola Sete started his international career before Bossa Nova, he left Brazil in the very beginning of the 60's. Brazilian albums were released by Odeon, the first in 1957, followed by five or six others really impossible to find. Anyway, let's stay with this one while the hunting continues.-image024.jpg)

This is the kind of album that does not need introduction. Radames Gnattali Sexteto, featuring Edu da Gaita, Ze Menezes, Chiquinho do Acordeon and others. Self-explanatory. However, this album has much of Humberto Teixeira, composer, author of Asa Branca, he was a politician in the late 60's and created a law to enable international promotion of the music from Brazil though international performances sponsored by Brazilian government. Several artists got the benefits such as: Poly, Waldir Azevedo, Leonel do Trombone, Orlando Silveira, Sivuca, Leo Peracchi and Radames Gnattali.
