I received an e-mail yesterday from Helio Amaral, which is a relative of the Brazilian singer Tuca, with another relevant information, Helio runs a blog about the genre Choro that is very well organized with tons of information about this genre and its legends, such as: Altamiro Carrilho, Jacob do Bandolim, Pixinguinha and many others. You should not miss Blog do Choro at http://blogdochoro.zip.net.Taking advantage of Helio's new blog, I want to share with Loronixers another Altamiro Carrilho album, Altamiro Carrilho e Sua Bandinha - Altamiro Carrilho Viaja pelo Norte (1962), for Copacabana, one of the several releases by Altamiro Carrilho e Sua Bandinha, assembled in 1955 by Altamiro. This LP is dedicated to the music of Brazil North Region and its genres, such as: forro, baiao, maxixe and others. I'm curious to see the feedback of Loronixers about this release. Tracks include:
