This is the first video I had the chance to see with a performance of the mighty Tamba Trio from Luiz Eca. Using my limited Tamba Trio knowledge I could not identify the year of the performance or at least a reasonable approximation for it.
I will let with you to find out personnel and performance date. This video was kindly sent by Luiz Harding and it is the first out of a very nice series. Luiz Harding is a serious researcher of the Brazilian drummer Edison Machado, being the owner and maintainer of a website dedicated to this Brazilian legend. This is not actually Tamba trio. Bebeto Castilho is missing !!
Luizaõ maia is at the bass oscar castro neves at the guitar and I miss the guy ath the flute.
I´d say it´s at the 70´s.
