Peruzzi, Sua Orquestra e Coro - Rio-Show (1965)

That's it. I was a little bit concerned on publishing this album, since it is another Rio de Janeiro cover artwork among several at Loronix. However, Caetano said something that I did not noticed after several visual examinations at this cover that really worth show Loronixers. This is also another of those albums made for a specific purpose that were not put available commercially, just like the last Brazil by Music - Fly Cruzeiro first presented at Quimsy.

This is Peruzzi, Sua Orquestra e Coro - Rio-Show (1965), for Odeon (printing). Odeon just printed Rio-Show as a request of Brazilian Government by Secretaria de Turismo do Estado da Guanabara as part of IV Centenario da Cidade de Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro, the 400 years celebration of Rio de Janeiro City. zecalouro did not see and Caetano said at a first sight, the picture shows the construction phase of what is known today as Aterro do Flamengo or Parque do Flamengo. Before Aterro do Flamengo construction, the sea border was almost a kilometer inside, touching the buildings. I wish I could find a photo taken before Aterro do Flamengo construction taken at the same spot of this one. The comparison would be amazing. Anyway, this is a nice orchestra with choir album with arrangements and conduction by the Brazilian Maestro Peruzzi. Tracks include:

- Cidade Maravilhosa (André Filho)
- Fim de Semana Em Paquetá (João de Barro / Alberto Ribeiro)
- Corcovado (Tom Jobim)
- Favela (Roberto Martins / Waldemar Silva)
- Sábado Em Copacabana (Dorival Caymmi / Carlos Guinle)
- Rio de Janeiro (Ary Barroso)
- Copacabana (João de Barro / Alberto Ribeiro)
- Garota de Ipanema (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
- A Voz do Morro (Zé Keti)
- Balanço Zona Sul (Tito Madi)
- Rio (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
- Cidade de São Sebastião (Peruzzi / Moacir Vieira)
