Djalma Ferreira e Seus Milionarios do Ritmo - Drink (1958)

I was really surprised with the time we take to identify all musicians on our last challenge, with that panorama photo presented. The legends were easy to identify, everybody know the faces of Djalma Ferreira, Miltinho and Ed Lincoln, but the enigma was the identification of the piston and bass player.

Marco Antonio Russi made a nice job identifying the piston player, Araken Peixoto, brother of the Brazilian singer Cauby Peixoto. Caetano Rodrigues give two nice hypothesis for the bass player at Cbox, Baden Powell or Waltel Branco. The Sambasonic Marcelo Munhoz made his bet on Waltel Branco and I think we really have Waltel Branco playing bass. With the challenge ending it is now time to see, sorry, hear the music.

This is Djalma Ferreira e Seus Milionarios do Ritmo - Drink (1958), for Discos Drink, gradually, we are collecting Djalma Ferreira discography at his own Discos Drink Label. Os Milionarios do Ritmo was the accompaniment band of Djalma Ferreira and several renowned musicians were member on the various formations of Milionarios do Ritmo. In this blend of instrumental and lyrics album, we have Miltinho singing in English and Portuguese, Ed Linconl and possibly the great Waltel Branco playing bass. I will let you with Djalma Ferreira music and his successful records released by his own Discos Drink. Tracks include:

How is it your image of the band doesn't have any type on it? The original release has the band name printed inside the gatefold.

It really is Waltel

É o Waltel sim. Ee tocou baixo ou guitarra em quase todos os discos da série Drink.
