Baden Powell - O Grande Show | Gravado Ao Vivo (1979)

Sometimes I have to write at Loronix with a great level of uncertain and the only way to keep it running is to make assumptions, sometimes work, sometimes doesn't. Take this album as an example; I never heard about it before taking at that last anonymous contribution, never was released on CD, no auction sites availability and my searches were not of help. Anyway, perhaps a pretty unknown Baden Powell LP to thrill people, or perhaps this album is available on every Baden Powell fan shelf around the world. I hope I can amaze Loronixers with this really interesting double LP.

This is Baden Powell - O Grande Show | Gravado Ao Vivo (1979), for WEA. I really prefer to identify this album as "O Grande Encontro", but the folks of Brazil-on-Guitar and Jornal Musical takes it as O Grande Encontro. This is the first double LP released at Loronix and also the first Double LP on Baden Powell discography, it is a live show recorded in Sao Paulo, Brazil at Teatro Procopio Ferreira, most of the tracks have lyrics sung by Baden Powell with that sweet and beautiful voice of his late years. Baden makes a nice rendition of Samba da Bencao, dedicating "Saravas" to everybody he could remember. The last and longer track brings a breathtaking version of Berimbau. You should not miss it, very near mint vinyl ripping. Tracks include:

I have listened to a lot of Baden Powell for many years, but I have never seen or heard this one. Really looking forward to it. Many thanks for what you do!
