Ella Fitzgerald - Ella Abraca Jobim (1980)

Hello, Good Evening! Today, Caetano reminds us another important day, the passing of "The First Lady of Song", the greatest female Jazz singer of all times, the Queen of Jazz, the legendary Ella Fitzgerald, eleven years ago. Loronix small celebration is based on the most Brazilian album among hundreds recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, her tribute to Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ella Embraces Jobim with The Queen delivering Jobim Song Book, just as she did before to the renowned cast of composers from the last Century.

This is Ella Fitzgerald - Ela Abraca Jobim | Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Antonio Carlos Jobim Songbook (1980), for Pablo. This album is of a great importance to Brazilian music, Ella Fitzgerald and Norman Ganz -- Fitzgerald producer for decades -- made this songbook as just as they did the previous ones, leveling Antonio Carlos Jobim to the same plateau given to (in order of Ella Songbooks release) Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Duke Ellington, Irvin Berlin, Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern and Johnny Mercer. Ella's powerful voice on top of sweet Antonio Carlos Jobim songs is an unique listening experience. Personnel listing features top-notch Brazilian and US musicians. Tracks include:

Comparem! Vale à pena! Viciei no Loronix! rs
