Antonio Carlos e Jocafi - Definitivamente (1974)

I have a loyal assistance that comes daily to my place and helps a lot on housekeeping matters. After some "handling" issues, now she understand that make a pile of vinyl to pick objects out of her reach and putting LPs out of the house for a sun bath are not a good idea.

Then she started to get interest on things and making answers. She found this one a couple of days ago and got very interesting on hearing the boys. That's what I did with zeca some days later and it was enough to consider it to Loronix. When I mention with Caetano today my desire to make this one happen, he said it is a really hard to find on vinyl and some other things I will summarize bellow.

This is Antonio Carlos e Jocafi - Definitivamente (1974), for RCA Victor, the forth Antonio Carlos e Jocafi Career LP, an extremely popular duo from the early 70's in Brazil. After the great start with the celebrated - and already available at Loronix - Mudei de Ideia, Definitivamente is notably a turning point in their discography, where Antonio Carlos e Jocafi takes a pop approach with sweet ballads. However, Definitivamente cannot be considered a minor release, the music is great, they put some folk and regional influences blending very well with their style. Maria Creuza - Antonio Carlos wife by that time - puts her voice in one track. Take also a special attention to Toro de Lagrimas, a big hit in Brazil. Tracks include:
