Here we go on an artist that really deserves more attention. Her first and only album available at Loronix was of a great success and I think this one will be really appreciated by Loronix. Marilia Medalha had a great start in the late 60's, recording some albums, being an active participant on Festivais da Cancao also performing on TV shows, such as the legendary Ensaio Geral for TV Excelsior.
This is Marilia Medalha - Marilia Medalha (1968), for Philips, featuring arrangements by Maestro Rogerio Duprat and a participation of Edu Lobo as special guest on track 05 - Memorias de Marta Saré, which is the song Marilia Medalha got the second prize on Festival de Musica Popular Brasileira, 1968 edition. This is all I know about this album, which Maria Medalha delivers a sweet blend of Samba with Bossa Nova. Tracks include:
01 - Glória (Tom Zé)
02 - Arrependimento (Silvio Caldas / Cristóvão de Alencar)
03 - Jogo de Viola (João Alberto P. Soares / Paulinho do Pinho)
04 - Bonina (Caetano Veloso / Capinan)
05 - Memórias de Marta Saré (Edu Lobo / Gianfrancesco Guarnieri) with Edu Lobo
06 - São Paulo Meu Amor (Tom Zé)
07 - E o Mundo Não Se Acabou (Assis Valente)
08 - Canção de Marta e Romão (Edu Lobo / Gianfrancesco Guarnieri)
09 - Velho Tema (Sergio Ricardo)
10 - Pressentimento (Élton Medeiros / Hermínio Bello de Carvalho)
11 - Três Cavaleiros (Joyce)

Recommended, a real nice album. Thank a lot for posting. All the best from Jörn
This is a very cool record, especially Side 1. Rogerio's arrangements add a touch of Tropicalia. The duet with Edu is superb. Obrigado!
Ai Meu Deus! I've been looking for the track Arrependimento for 10 years. Yes, 10 years. I took some detective work but here it is! I'm so happy, thankyou zecalouro
