Olivia Byington - Melodia Sentimental (1987)

Olivia Byington can be considered one of the great surprises at Loronix this year. Her first album with the participation of A Barca do Sol was released in the end of 2006 with a nice feedback from Loronixers, by the way, Corra o Risco deserves and upgrade and should be our next Olivia Byington album. Since then, we made available some albums with Olivia Byington participation until we reach the acclaimed Anjo Vadio (1980). Melodia Sentimental brings Olivia Byington in 1987 with some similarities with Anjo Vadio, such as the participation of Egberto Gismonti. Anyway, let's see what Mrs. Olivia Maria Lustosa Byington delivers with Melodia Sentimental.

This is Olivia Byington - Melodia Sentimental (1987), for Continental. The Brazilian sax and clarinet player Edgard Duvivier has a major participation at this album, sharing production with Olivia Byington and writing most of the compositions. As told, Egberto Gismonti is special guest on track 07 - Caravela, while Jacques Morelenbaum delivers cello and keyboard player in all tracks. Remaining musicians in the set were not credited. Tracks include:
