It's 1 a.m. and I'm still busy working. It seems 2007 will never end. Anyway, I decided to come to Loronix and make something easy and straightforward, the repost of this album recorded in 1964 by this really obscure group, a nice and very curious Bossa Jazz instrumental album that deserves another chance, now featuring better cover scans and lossless FLAC option. Let's see.
This is Conjunto BemBossa - Birimbau Sambas (1964), for Destaque, featuring instrumental renditions of Brazilian songs in the Bossa Jazz style. Conjunto BemBossa has sax, piano, organ, bass, drums, accordion, guitar and percussion and it pretty obscure. If someone has a hint on musicians in this session, please use comment section to share this information if us, the album is very well played and it seems we have renowned musicians here. Tracks include:
01 - Consolação (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
02 - A Canção Que Virou Você (Luis Antônio)
03 - Berimbau (Baden Powell / Vinicius de Moraes)
04 - Meu Nome É Ninguém (Haroldo Barbosa / Luis Reis)
05 - Não Sabemos (Rubens Caruso)
06 - Foi a Noite (Tom Jobim / Newton Mendonça)
07 - Garota de Ipanema (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
08 - Água de Beber (Tom Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
09 - Vou Andar Por Aí (Newton Chaves)
10 - Dona Baratinha (N. Ramalho / A. Rêgo)
11 - Nossos Momentos (Haroldo Barbosa / Luis Reis)
12 - Lamento da Lavadeira (Monsueto / Nilo Chagas / João Violão)

Hi Zeca,
this sounds like an unknown Moacyr
Silva album.
This is exactly his tenor-sound.
