Hello, good evening! One of the benefits of all the hard work to rescue the missing links is to observe Loronix archives with a critical eye. I'm surprised with the things I find there. Anthological albums, which with the passage of time have been forgotten by me, will from now a new chance to appear on the first page. However, they will only have a chance if I can manage something new to add, such as improved cover scans or a new transfer to justify the upgrade and make it attractive for everybody. I hope the tapestry that I have been pushing up and updating is being useful to follow up the work in progress. Anyway, things are getting better all the time.
I want to show you one of those great archive surprises that I forgot along time, featuring an artist that has been in evidence this year with an amazing album made in partnership with a giant, Vinicius de Moraes. Let's see.
This is Marilia Medalha - A Cancao e a Voz de Marilia Medalha na Poesia de Vinicius de Moraes (1972), for RGE, frequently taken by mistake as a Vinicius de Moraes career LP, while he only plays the role of producer and composer, delivering also vocals in English with Marilia Medalha on track 05 - Mr. Toquinho. The great surprise here is that you will not find Vinicius de Moraes standards, but unknown compositions written by Marilia Medalha in partnership with Vinicius, including also two instrumental tracks, 06 - Sagarana and 12 - Distante, by Marilia Medalha. I think you will have high quality entertainment with this really unusual LP featuring arrangements by Edu Lobo and Chiquinho de Moraes. Tracks include:
01 - Se o Amor Pudesse (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
02 - Moinho D'água (Marília Medalha / Joãozinho / Vinicius de Moraes)
03 - Canção Para o Grande Amor (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
04 - Meu Tempo (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
05 - Mr Toquinho (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes) with Vinicius de Moraes
06 - Sagarana (Marília Medalha)
07 - Ausência (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
08 - Algum Lugar (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
09 - Sem Razão de Ser (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
10 - Quem Ri Melhor (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
11 - Canção da Canção Que Nasceu (Marília Medalha / Vinicius de Moraes)
12 - Distante (Marília Medalha)

Dear Mr. Zecalouro,
Ever since you gave us this album in the first place I have been playing it over and over again, it stole my heart right away, the warm calm voice of Marilia is so great, especially #7 'Ausencia 'is my favorite song, thanks again !
Moos.
Hello. Yes, I agree absolutely. This is another stunning album. Has been keeping me calm while I study! And a much better transfer than the previous Marilia Medalha post (Boias De Luz). The new method is definitely a good one! Thank you Zecalouro!
dear Zeca, downloading this mp3 file, I discover the link is not correct!! It directs to MariliaMedalhaMariliaMedalha-zl.zip
Not the end of the world, I'll download the flac files, but can you correct this?
abraços, rob
Dear Rob,
It is now fixed.
I'm changing the way links are managed. Actually, I have been working on the creation of a link management application. I think it is the first software on the category.
I have 2,864 links to manage and have been moved to the application on a very slow pace. It is easy to identify a migrated post to a non-migrated. Just check the related posts section.
Sometimes I will make mistakes, such like this one when albums from the same artist were swapped or duplicated. I need the help of the community to identify them.
Thanks for this one, Rob. It is now fixed.
Best Regards, zeca
This is a truly beautiful record. Thank you so much for introducing me to the wonderful Marilia!
