Angela Maria - Angela Maria Canta para o Mundo (1962) @ 320Kbps

This is a special post. On a given day last week, zecalouro received a call from his mother:

- zecalouro, do what I'm saying, get an LP where Angela Maria is singing in front of a globe...

Mother’s advice cannot be ignored and the search for the globe LP has started.

zecalouro identified that Angela Maria released two LPs between 1962 and 1963 called Angela Maria Canta para o Mundo - Angela Maria Sings for the World, Volume One and Two. I was about to give up.

But, there is always a "but" on every happy ending story, KIMCASTRO, a Loronix friend made these two precious gems available to us. Thanks a million KIMCASTRO!

So here we go with Angela Maria Canta para o Mundo - Volume 1, a tremendous success at the early 60's where Angela shows all the tricks of her outstanding voice on a repertoire full of classics that goes from Samba, Fado, Bolero, Marcha Rancho, Marchinha, etc.

Meanwhile, zecalouro found an outstanding fan website with everything you should know about The Angel, including all Lyrics, cover artwork and pictures, do not miss the amazing ..::Angela Maria - A Estrela do Brasil::..

Sounds great, I´ll check it out. Mom can´t go wrong, mine influenced my musical taste, too. Btw: In the next night I´ll go to Tenerife for one week. It´ll be hard not to get my daily dosis of brasilian music from loronix, the kings of the vaults. Hope you´ve made some nice findings when I´m back.

So long and greetz,
Jörn

Hey Jörn,

Have a nice stay on your short trip. Probably you will reach Loronix from a cybercafe or hotel, just to see how things are going.

Your mom was right. Angel has the Midas touch with everything she sings. There is simply nothing this woman can't do. Once again, I am deeply, deeply impressed by her voice and versatility. More, please.

What makes me paralyzed about this LP is that on a technical point of view, it is a medium record with an irregular repertoire with no identity and logical order between each song. A real catastrophe.

But for Angela, this is just peanuts. She can make a good record even singing the worst repertoire with the worst musicians available on the market.

Angela will always have her place here.

I'm lovin' the Angela Maria's LPs!! She's quickly takin' her rightful spot up there with Maria Bethania, Clara Nunes, Elizeth Cardoso, Maysa, Elza Soares and Elis Regina as one of favorite singers in any language...
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! & KIMCASTRO too..
Angela's voice is perfection---sublime, but powerful(in the belting department).
