I'm glad and really proud with our community by making this post. It has been less than a week since we started showing 78 rpm recordings and this is the first contribution in the format. By the way, fantastic contribution with a superb ripping and magnificent label scans. This little and old record is in a really good shape. It seems our friend - let's call him as TNO - traveled back in time to get this record. Thanks a million TNO, you are The Number One in the 78 rpm format.
This is Dick Farney e Seu Quinteto - 78rpm | 16807 (1953), for Continental, featuring Dick Farney and not credited musicians as a quintet, performing instrumental renditions of a Samba tune and a Choro written by Dick Farney. Tracks include:
01 - Nova Ilusao (Luiz Bittencourt / Jose Menezes)
02 - Joao Sebastiao Bach (Dick Farney / Nestor Campos)

sounds very good for a 78rpm from 1953. thanks for to let the full sound without cutting away the high frequenzes with bad clean software
Zeca...killin' us softly with...another Farney's vinyl
One more...THHHAAANNNXXXX!!!!!
Fantastic sound quality, plus really superb musicians. I can't imagine better small group samba jazz.
