Ivan Casanova e Seus Conjuntos - Melodias Celebres do Cinema

Remember an album released in February 2007 featuring an organist known as Ivan Casanova that later on we realize it was Walter Wanderley? If you do not remember, just follow this link and you are set, here. I thought that was the only album recorded by this Ivan Casanova nickname at Imperial label. However, I found another one and I thought it was another great thing to have another never heard Walter Wanderley album.

Unfortunately, no organ and no Walter Wanderley this time. In the other hand, the album is really good, on that Para Dancar style, but really above the average and deserves to be available to our community. Let's see.

This is Ivan Casanova e Seus Conjuntos - Melodias dos Filmes Celebres (no date), for Imperial. A very well played album with songs from movie soundtracks, different from the earlier Ivan Casanova. My highlights go to sax, piston and trombone, very well played, probably by well-known musicians. Tracks include:

01 - Singing in the Rain
02 - Blue Skies
03 - An Affair to Remember
04 - Ebb Tide
05 - Unchained Melody
06 - Around the World
07 - Be my Love
08 - Stella by Starlight
09 - Over the Rainbow
10 - Love is a Tender Trap
11 - High Society
12 - Whatever Will Be, Will Be

Very interesting. Basically coctail-music. Nicely played, but i think the saxophone is at times a bit desafinado.
