Pery Ribeiro - Pery (1965)

The early Pery Ribeiro albums are really incredible. I remember when the first one was posted, Pery Ribeiro - Eu Gosto da Vida (1961), for my surprise it was not included on some serious discographies at the Internet. By that time I could understand how popular was Pery Ribeiro and how fans and collectors all around the world tracks down his earlier works. Each Pery Ribeiro post at Loronix is successful, generating nice discussions.

This is Pery Ribeiro - Pery (1965), for Odeon, featuring orchestra and arrangements by Maestro Lyrio Panicalli. Open and honestly, I had no hope to find this LP, requested by many Loronixers and I was amazed to know that Caetano has it. I'm happy to address all the request made by several friends, understanding now why people urge to hear this album, it is truly amazing. Besides the great arrangements from Maestro Lyrio Panicalli, musicians on the set are not credit, except the last track, Carinhoso, featuring Eumir Deodato (piano), Gabriel (bass), Wilson das Neves (drums), Geraldo Vespar (guitar) and Mauricio Einhorn (harmonica). Tracks include:

- Deus Brasileiro (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle)
- João Valentão (Dorival Caymmi)
- Vem (Marcos Valle / Luis Fernando Freire)
- Maria Moita (Carlos Lyra / Vinicius de Moraes)
- Primavera (Carlos Lyra / Vinicius de Moraes)
- Gabriela (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
- Dora (Dorival Caymmi)
- Assim É a Bahia (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
- Preciso Aprender a Ser Só (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle)
- Samba de Verão (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle)
- Demais (Tom Jobim / Aloysio de Oliveira)
- Carinhoso (Pixinguinha / João de Barro)
