Conjunto Sambacana - Musicas de Pacifico Mascarenhas (1969)

This is a perfect piece if you like to play acoustic guitar around a fire on a camp, no lights, moderate alcohol and, how can I say, girls... The back cover has all 14 songs lyrics and - amazing - tablatures with the harmony of each song ready to play.

This is a LP out of a series of 6 released by Pacifico and his Sambacana. All tracks composed by Pacifico and all songs in A Major, probably to best fit the girls singing or - for some - their lack of talent for singing. Anyway, nice and smooth Bossa Nova Vocal album. The line-up is unknown, but the arrangements are from Roberto Menescal and Hugo Marota. Tracks include:

01 - Pouca Duracao
02 - Amor e Ilusao
03 - Aconteceu
04 - Olhos Feiticeiros
05 - Olhando Estrelas no Ceu
06 - Onibus Colegial
07 - Foi Assim
08 - Se eu Tivesse Coragem
09 - Comecou de Brincadeira
10 - Assim foi o Nosso Amor
11 - Quanto Tempo
12 - Bolo
13 - Mandrake
14 - Amor em Quatro Estacoes

Do you have a scan of the back cover?

Sure I have one.

But the quality is not good. The lyrics and chords cannot be read.

Anyway, check it out here. http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/8601/sambacanafrontbackae0.jpg

My name is Jon Vietor, an avid collector of the conjunto sambacana records I made an interesting discovery when I bought the album with the scene of the houses along with the lp with the photo of the guy playing guitar. They share exactly the same track listings. another album i have is the one with a photo of sugarloaf mountain, another with the rainbow circle Muito Pra Frente, and another called VI sambacana m which shows the front of a truck. Volume 4 i guess. Anyway I still cant find the vinyl version of Conjunto sambacana vol. 3.

I am really quite new to this site. I am not equipped with a scanner but I have a rather large collection of records to share.
I had recently bought several records by Conjunto Sambacana. One is a picture of someone with a guitar amd another has a row of houses on some deserted street. Both had the name "Sambacana on the cover, but the song tracks on both were the same.
There were six documented recordings by this group, but as it turns out, I can only count 5.
"Muito Pra Frente" was the first, VI Sambacana vol. 4 the front of a truck, Sambacana 3 of which I only have the CD. Another album has a picture of Rio overlooking Sugarloaf mountain, amd then the last two listed above.
Its all great music. Just be forwarned that their release has two different album covers. but the music is exceptional.
