Andre Penazzi - Orgao, Samba e Percussao Vol. 4 (1968)

Andre Penazzi is a Brazilian organist introduced to us by Refer last year. Little I know about him, in spite of Andre Penazzi albums are always on top of every LP hunting list of collectors and DJs outside of Brazil. Sometimes Andre Penazi is taken in the same plateau of Walter Wanderley and Ed Lincoln, which is something that I think we should take as a passionate fan statement. Anyway, Andre Penazzi is here and I would like to ask feedback of Loronixers at comments section.

This is Andre Penazzi - Orgao, Samba e Percussao Vol. 4 (1968), for Som Maior. Andre Penazzi had a very active career, recording his first album in 1959 and ending at 1971 with more than 10 albums recorded by several Brazilian labels. Personnel is not credited and apparently, Andre Penazzi is only backed by drums and percussion. Perhaps Refer comes later to bring more clarification on this lost Brazilian organ player.

Tracks include:

01 - Lapinha (Baden Powell / Paulo César Pinheiro)
02 - Tive Sim (Cartola)
03 - Januária (Chico Buarque)
04 - Luandaluar (Sergio Ricardo)
05 - Ela Desatinou (Chico Buarque)
06 - Amor de Trapo e Farrapo (Paulo Vanzolini)
