Hello, Good Evening! Starting today with a very requested repost. Actually, not a repost, this album was available at Loronix for a very short period of time and went off-line due some problems with ripping quality. I'm glad that Caetano Rodrigues sent it to us. The music was taken from CD and there will be no bad surprises this time. Thanks Caetano.
This is Azimuth - O Fabuloso Fittipaldi | Trilha Sonora do Filme (1973), for Philips, featuring a very early Azimuth performing Marcos Valle and Paulo Sergio Valle compositions for the Original Soundtrack of O Fabuloso Fittipaldi, a documentary on the legendary race driver Emerson Fittipaldi. The album brings some speech by Emerson Fittipaldi and her wife Maria Helena, but Azimuth performances on top of Marcos and Paulo Sergio Valle compositions are really amazing. I never saw this movie before to see how music blends with film images and as a big Formula 1 fan I'm now very curious to watch it. Tracks include:
01 - Fittipaldi Show (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle)
02 - Tema de Maria Helena (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle)
03 - Vitória (Marcos Valle)
04 - Rindt (Marcos Valle)
05 - Acidente (Marcos Valle)
06 - Vinheta I (Marcos Valle)
07 - Vinheta II (Marcos Valle)
08 - Azimuth (Mil Milhas) (Marcos Valle / Novelli / Paulo Sergio Valle)
09 - Tema de Maria Helena (Marcos Valle / Paulo Sergio Valle)
10 - Virabrequim (Marcos Valle)

Thanks so much for this, Zeca. I love it. I'm a big F-1 fan.
This is a great post! Do you have that 4-song EP they released in 1975? That would top all.
Zeca,
I have this film that I recorded early in the nineties, from a cable TV channel called "Canal Brasil",but unfortunately I lost the last five minutes of the end...
It´s very impressive, this documentary shows Emmo´s history and campaign for his first championship,in 1972.It was made by Roberto Farias,Reginaldo´s brother, the same director of Roberto Carlos´s trilogy.
In this film we can see not only Emerson playing with a brand new Ford Maverick, american 1972 model, that came to Brazil just for tests(the original brazilian car would only make production in 1973),but incredible race drivers such as Ronnie Peterson,Henri Pescarolo,Mark Donohue,James Hunt,Niki Lauda, and so on,unfortunately most of them were killed in the next years to come. You may see all Emmo´s history from the very beginning, the races that he won in Brazil and in Europe, and his friends giving all the testimonies to his history, very interesting.
I´ll try to get a DVD copy,and when succeeded,be sure I´ll send a copy to you,dearest friend !!!
Thanks for the post,it´s really amazing !!!
A big hug,
Mário Buzian
Hey Anonymous,
I do not have this 4 tracks EP. Sorry, I will search for it. Thanks.
Skipper Bartlett,
Thanks a million! Formula 1 and music are really connected, remember George Harrison?
Speaker,
This is really nice. In the past, F-1 was a really dangerous business it was common to see a death on each season.
Thanks for your offering.
Cheers, zeca
