Conjunto Melodico de Norberto Baldauf - Ritmos da Madrugada Nr. 2 (1956)

Hello, good evening! Let's start the day with a new contribution from Mauro R. V., which is a big enthusiast of Para Dancar albums specially those several ones recorded by Waldir Calmon. This time, Mauro R.V. sent to Loronixers the second LP, 10-inch format, from one of the pioneers, Norberto Baldauf. Let's see.

This is Conjunto Melodico de Norberto Baldauf - Ritmos da Madrugada Nr. 2 (1956), for Odeon. I said Norberto Baldauf was a pioneer, he was the first out of a series of artists that came from the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, such as Elis Regina, Primo, Manfredo Fest and many others. Personnel listing was not credited this time. Tracks include:

01 - Sertão de Jequié (Klécius Caldas / Armando Cavalcanti) -- Balaio (Paixão Cortes / Barbosa Lessa) -- Eu Sem Maria (Dorival Caymmi / Alcyr Pires Vermelho) -- Longe dos Olhos (Djalma Ferreira / Cristóvão de Alencar) -- Favela (Hekel Tavares / Juraci Camargo)
02 - Faceira (Ary Barroso)
03 - Capricho Em Ré (Delcio Vieira)
04 - Tem Que Ter (Túlio Piva)
05 - Um Choro na Penumbra (Victor Canella)

Hi Zeca,

nice to see a second Norberto Baldauf album here at Loronix.
There is a new website about Luiz Henrique called www.luizhenrique.org
There we can read, that Luiz Henrique joined the Norberto Baldauf conjunto in 1960 for one year. Another member at the same time was Elis Regina. On the album
"Baldauf Retorna" (Philips 632.102L) from 1962 is one composition by Henrique "Se amor e isso", but I never heard this album.
On the site you can also see, that a documentation about Luiz Henrique comes on 20.08.2007, but I don`t know if this will be aired on Brazilian TV or comes on DVD:

Em 20 de agosto de 2007 será lançado o documentário ."LUIZ HENRIQUE NO BALANÇO DO MAR"
DE IEDA BECK

Do you know something about this?

Frank-Oliver,

As I said yesterday, you always tell me things that I did not know.

I will visit this site and track down your information. I'm also contacting a friend who wrote a book about Mr. Baldauf, I'm sure he can be of help.

Cheers, zeca
