Elizeth Cardoso - A Meiga Elizeth Nr. 5 (1964)

Here we go on another Elizeth Cardoso album from the "A Meiga Elizeth" series, kindly sent by moos to Loronixers. This series has five albums and this is the third made available at Loronix. Top-notch musicians, including a mysterious organist credited as “Sir Walter Scott”, back Elizeth Cardoso. By the way, this alias makes easy to realize that a Brazilian organist also called Walter is behind Sir Scott. Let's see.

This is Elizeth Cardoso - A Meiga Elizeth Nr. 5 (1964), for Copacabana, featuring Moacyr Silva e Seu Conjunto. Thanks once again moos, this album is solid from start to the end. Elizeth Cardoso rendition to Ze Ketti song Diz que Fui Por Ai is fantastic with Walter Wanderley organ swinging a lot with Elizeth. Rildo Hora is a special guest on track 11 - Encontro com a Saudade, backing Elizeth Cardoso with violao. Personnel is credit this time. Tracks include:

Hello Zeca,
you surprise me every day. " Sir Scott" what a fine pseudonym to walter Wanderley. Bossanovadreamer is preparing a really jewel of Sir "Walter" Scott.

Best wishes

Leave it to Sir Walter Scott to make an ordinary song like "Call Me" into a theme-and-variations classic. The drummer on this video is also excellent, and when you've got two working feet for the bass pedals, you don't have to split the paycheck three ways. Great to see this video, and thanks.

Walter Wanderley... Para os americanos um dos reis do bachelor pad space age pop, junto com exóticos como Esquivel. Para mim nada tão normal, tão brasileiro e tão perto do meu coração.

Strange how Walter plays so well and moves so little. He doesn't seem exactly happy. And who is this drummer?

Shadrac Blintz took the words right out of my head. The little green parrot's head makes me giggle each time I see it. What a great touch! Will you share the secret of how he got there?
